I don’t think Facebook has an antipathy toward security and privacy, per se. I just think the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. This morning, I found these two gems in the Facebook Help Center:

How do I change my Page name?
It’s not currently possible to edit the name of a Page. If you would like to change your Page name, you will need to delete your Page and recreate it. The Facebook team isn’t able to change Page names for you.

Can I change the name of my Page?
If an error was made in your Page name when it was created, you have the option to edit the Page name to correct this issue. This option is only limited to Pages with less than 100 connections. After selecting to edit your Page, you can adjust this information from the “Basic Information” section.

Maybe they could cancel their next all-night free-for-all coding binge and instead have a discussion about how the hell they want their website to work.
