A Bold Proposal

March 14th, 2011 — 12:28am

If you, dear reader, are one of these emergent victims of cognitive impairment, I ask you to consider the following points:

  1. Most of the people in Japan weren’t alive when Pearl Harbor happened.
  2. Japan is one of the United States’ biggest economic partners. Anything that hurts them, hurts us.
  3. The tsunami which resulted from the earthquake hit Hawaii. You know, where Pearl Harbor is.
  4. If there is some cosmic force tracking our cosmic debt, there’s a lot more to say about both our countries’ histories than the events of December 7, 1941.
  5. Innocent people who have lost their homes and families don’t need ethnocentric pricks telling them that they deserved it.

Goodnight.
